A total of 15,893 COVID-19 recovery cases were reported yesterday, which is higher than the number of new cases detected for the day, which was 10,052.

The government will not fast track 25 no-confidence motions filed against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin or two other motions of support for the Pagoh MP.

Two new deaths were also reported, bringing the death toll to 65.

Only 25 cases of myocarditis were detected within 21 days post COVID-19 vaccination out of 433,674 admissions to 216 hospitals between February and September 2021.

A total of 58 new COVID-19 Omicron variant cases have been confirmed, with 54 of them being imported cases and four local transmissions, said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

Veerapan said the situation is under control and advised the public to comply with the stipulated standard operating procedures.

Another 86 cases of COVID-19 have been detected among flood victims, bringing the total figure to 267 as at noon today, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

A total of 84 positive COVID-19 cases were identified from random screenings conducted during the current Parliamentary sitting since Oct 27.
